Opening day defeats for Real and Barca
Barcelona and Real Madrid surprise suffered two defeats on the weekend opening of the Primera Liga season.
Pep Guardiola team dominated for long periods to newly promoted Numancia, but were undone by a defensive lapse after only 12 minutes, when Mario was left unmarked in the area and fired home this which turned out to be the winner. Madrid, 2-1 loss to Deportivo La Coruna was not as unpredictable with the Spanish champions now without a league win at the Riazor since season 1992/93.
Alberto Lopo bag the winner for the Galicians at the start of the second half, shortly after Ruud van Nistelrooy cancelled Mista first half strike. There were no such worries for the city competes with Atletico Madrid, who regrets thrashed Malaga 4-0 at Vicente Calderon.

Racing Santander missed a penalty by Ezequiel Garay, but returns to win a point against Seville at Juanjo cancelled Luis Fabiano’s Opens.
